The sweetest snuggle cat - and in fact, the MOST cuddly cat of all we have - River seeks out love and affection throughout the day. She'll lick your face with kisses, purring away. River arrived as one of the most fearful TNRH's, with all of her whiskers cut. Now, she's kind and adventurous, and a little too into human food. She'll steal your snacks if you're not careful. She sleeps on your head and wants to be cuddled in your arms, wrapped up and snuggled like a teddy bear. While epileptic, her seizures are few and far between and easily manageable.

Chloe is a single mom who finally has the house to herself. Her kids graduated, packed their emotional baggage, and moved into their forever homes, leaving her with the gift of uninterrupted silence. She’s still deciding how she feels about that. At first, Chloe hangs back, but she warms up. Her only flaw is a small communication glitch where she hisses even when she’s having a perfectly nice time. You’ll be petting her, she’ll be purring, and then she’ll toss out a polite little hiss. She doesn’t mean it. She’s simply multilingual. Chloe thrives when you give her a low-distraction room and a little one-on-one time. Growler and his brother, Quill, run, wrestle, and play - zooming all over the house! Growler is still very hesitant with people. It is believed something abusive happened to him early on. He has been the most scared and shy of his litter and the slowest to come around. Growler doesn’t allow pets, but will hang out with you at your feet during evening couch time, and he is VERY interested in anything you are eating. Having him sniff foods is used as a postive way to interact. He also has a strange interest in playing with the water bowls - to a cute - but very messy extent!

A calculated revenge-seeker, this rambunctious, high-energy babe is much more of a run-around wiggle-worm than a quiet cuddle lap cat. She doesn't stay in one place or sit still for too long. She'll sleep on your neck, face, chest, head - anywhere that makes it hard to breathe. Want to sleep in past 4am? Too bad. Jam says it's paw-at-you-for-playtime. Jam got her name because she was "jammin'" as a kitten. She was the first of her litter to play with toys and strut off on adventures. This little jamboree will always be up to something.

Meet Jimmy Carter! Like the former president, he suffered a broken pelvis. This once scared, limping, shy feral boy is now a ball of happy fluff. Though he doesn’t do much during the day but comfortably gaze out the window, he’s a mess of spins and meows for meal and pets time. Knight-Knight is one of the last UCF ferals from the old days, having spent her life split between outdoor living and an unofficial role as the resident office cat in one of the departments. When new management decided she was no longer welcome indoors, she ended up back outside until the caring staff reached out and helped bring her to safety with us. Her personality is a mix of sweet and anxious, the kind that keeps one eye on the world and the other on whoever might have snacks. She loves her own little house and the area she claims as her personal kingdom, and she enjoys giving tours, trotting ahead to make sure you are following before proudly showing off her favorite spots. Once you settle in with her, she melts into pets like she has been waiting all day. Knight Knight would do best in a quiet home where she can have her own dedicated space without sharing it with another cat. All she wants is a person, a stable home, and the chance to finally stop worrying about where she belongs.

Whiskey is a senior kitten who is brand new to indoor life and fully committed to enjoying it. He is not quite ready for soft beds, but the bath towel he sleeps on feels like true luxury, and his catnip pickle might as well be made of gold. He squeaks to announce himself, plops down dramatically, rolls for attention, and begs for pets with enthusiasm. He loves people and craves affection. Whiskey spent much of his life being bullied by other street cats, so he remains wary and prefers to keep his space when it comes to other cats.Whiskey is incredibly soft and deeply sweet.
